Retinitis Pigmentosa

I went to the eye clinic on Monday and was told that I had a mild case of RP. What does that mean? The consultant said not to worry as he thinks that my sight will stay the same. I dont know that much about the problem only about what i read on the internet. My brother has got RP and I really do not want to get as bad as him. Does any one else have mild RP?

I am just learning about this disease also but I think it really depends on the person as for how agressive it is. One doctor said stress is a major factor for speeding up the process. I'm not sure though. I would like more info also. Also wearing sunglasses is really important because overexposure to sunlight can strain your eyes making them more weaker and can lead to nausa.
