In 2003 I had WNV and was hospitalized for 62 days. I was on a ventalator, had a peg tube in my stomach for nutrition, and had both arms paralyzed for almost 1 yr. I have regained function in both arms after tons of therapy. I have now gone on to become an certified occupational therapy assistant, and get to help others with disabilities overcome their struggles.
