Response to worried guy: If your girlfriend has been diagnosed with hemifacial spasms, she, and you would benefit from joining the Hemifacial Spasm Association. There is a wealth of information there, including treatments. What is the technical name of hemi facila spasms blaph something I can't remember. My husband has these and has for 11 yrs. He took botox shot all those yrs and now is having brain surgery Oct. 1 they say the cushion between the nerve is gone. The spasm has moved down his neck and top part of chest. I had the technical name of this but can't find it I only remember it began with a b and I couldn't pronounce it. Please help me

i think you are talking about blepharospasm
p.s. i had the microvascular decompression and it worked wonderfully for me.
no spasms for five years :-)
