Joni L, my experience was a bit different than yours. I was in my 50's and in the middle of talking when I could notJ remember the next word I needed to finish my sentence. I could talk but couldn't remember the word. So I tried to describe the word I couldn't remember, time consuming and side tracking from the point I was trying to make. Not every listener is patient and will stay to hear the end of the thought. This left me a little frustrated. This was happening in cycles and annoying enough that I went to an Alheimers Clinic to see if I was in the first stage of Alheimers. There after answering questions they told me that I did not have Alheimers and that it was probably stress. My doctor thought that maybe I was possibly having more stress at home than usual and dismissed it at that. Whereas I disagreed and still haven't found the cause. Unless it could be from the slow thought process shown on the latest EEG. Thanks, Joni L, I will talk to the doctor about that. It does pay to talk things out with someone and your doctor to give you understanding of what you are going through, at least.
