Graves-like eye symptoms?!?Hi,
I will try to make this post as short as possible. I joined this forum in hopes of obtaining more info about the symptoms I've been having... I've been suffering from various symptoms for the last 9-10 years that include (fatigue, optical nerve headaches, i.e. when you have loss of vision in one or both eyes, and various other symptoms). The latest being a swollen left carnucle of the eye (last 2 years) and now my other carnucle is starting to get inflammed. The swelling is more like a lesion on the carnucle. I've had very dry sore feeling in the corner of my eye, like sand is in my eyes since these lesions started showing up. I've seen a neurologist, a rheumatologist my PCP, an opthamologist and a demartologist for all of these symptoms. My PCP gave me an antibiotic ointment, but it didn't do anything. The neuro sent me for an MRI which showed a white migraine type lesion and the opthamologist said the lesion was cosmetic in nature and that I had nothing wrong with my eyes. He said he would surgically remove the growth. I also mentioned to him that I seemed to be developing another lesion in the other eye. I went to see a dermatologist for a 2nd opinion, to make sure the lesions were not skin-related, as I've had keratosis spots that have been removed in the past and have very fair skin. No one seems to be concerned about these lesions, but I don't see how developing lesions in your eyes can be brushed off so easily. After doing some research, these types of lesions seem to be associated with very few conditions. Please note that I do not have any problems with protuding of my eyes, only the loss of vision off and on and lesions in the corners of my eyes developing.
